Additionally I have been working on getting the fuel gauges backlit, and installing the tachometer into the housing.
The next stage in the the diesel bike saga is to cover the primary drive. I would love to run it open but this poses two problems:
Right, I know have a working throttle mechanism. I tack welded the throttle bracket on and adjusted the idle. I now have a working throttle and idling engine!
Right, the throttle is now sorted, and the basis for the throttle cables etc is sorted. I just need to figure out how to attach it and its sorted.
Yesterday I managed to drill the holes in the gearbox mounting plates and bolt the gearbox to the engine. I also added a bit more welding to the brackets as they will be taking a lot of weight!
So, the engine is now fully supported! The next step is to drop the gearbox again and install the throttle assembly. Unfortunately today’s weather has called of doing much outside
